Activities

We are using a range of open, creative, co-creative and participatory methods to explore this project challenges, including; 

  1. A series of highly exploratory craft-oriented commissions and investigations that provide alternative visions and narratives around networked things. Video documentation the craft commissions.
  2. Consultation with sub­­­­­­ject experts across the arts, humanities and sciences.
  3. Reaction videos that document responses from experts to the craft commissions and 100 IoT provocations.
  4. Brainstorming initial of ‘the future of IoT in 100 ideas’. 
  5. Focused conversations with local groups.
  6. Refinement of 100 IoT ideas.
  7. Participatory and co-creative workshops with local people and groups, to develop a set of focused briefs.
  8. Using briefs from the workshops as starting points development robust bespoke IoT artifacts for individuals/families/communities to live with over an extended period,
  9. Interviews with participant groups that will inform project outcomes and recommendations moving forward.  
  10. Through insights gained from all the project activities and deployments, development of a set of policy recommendations for a healthier relationship to IoT.
  11. Disseminate findings through exhibition, salons, briefings and other events.
